SOMETIMES, PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ALL WE HAVE LEFT.
When I was a kid, my grandma always walked around with a disposable camera. Didn’t matter if it was something as simple as us playing in the pool on a hot summer day or painting at the dining room table with the cousins. I always thought it was a little goofy. Why is she constantly taking pictures of things that don’t even seem important? Sometimes we’d all just be sitting in the living room and you knew she was around when you started seeing stars from the bright auto flash, why? Well, as I grew up I realized that even though it may not have seemed important to me then, those moments were everything to her. She wanted to cherish them and have a physical momentum to remember them by. It didn’t matter how we looked or how we were posed, she just wanted something to remember that moment by. Now, here I am, every summer, at the Jersey Shore with my disposable camera, looking more and more like my gram every day. She taught me the magic of life’s simple moments.

You can typically catch me visiting the local goodwill on my days off or mindlessly filling my head with new movies or tv shows. I’m usually staring at one screen if not multiple whether it’s my tablet, tv, computer, phone or Nintendo switch (add me on animal crossing) .If I’m not snuggled up with my dog in my apartment I am most likely spending time with my family. I’m very lucky to call three beautiful girls my nieces and three adorable boys my nephews.
I’m from Upstate NY and reside here currently. I always hear people saying how much they hate it and the snow, well folks I love it and the snow. In fact, give me more snow!! I am a four season type of girl. I love photographing outdoors and do not care what the weather is. I will go in the ocean with you during a rainstorm or hike a half a mile to the frozen lake to get a better view. Anything that makes the photographs more majestic, you bet your butt I’m willing to do. Except maybe jump out of a plane. Irrational fear of heights and sharks here.
